Just for a change, this Es log was made from several periods of live DXing. This is actually the first time I have done live Es DXing for over three years. Not a single recording was made!
Due to potential lack of free time, depending on how busy I am, my original intention for this season was strictly going to be to log only personal firsts. However, I decided to have a day of radio yesterday, putting work aside. Most of my time was taken up with the contruction of a beverage antenna for South America.
The Es began early morning and continued right through past darkness, giving a full day of Es. Most of the time, Italy dominated. Then Spain. Then Italy. Then Spain. Then Italy. (See where this is going?)

What a day!
Starting off this morning with low power transmitters in Lichtenstein and Switzerland at the bottom of the band. Italy also appeared with some unusual transmitters from around Trento and Udine. Lichtenstein is a personal first. In fact, I don't recall even seeing Lichtenstein being logged anywhere before, though I'm sure it had been.
Then an opening to Romania later in the afternoon, which I deliberately ignored. It was only a few of the high power Es regulars, but there was some exotic sounding middle eastern stuff at the bottom of the band at the onset of this. It was all too weak/brief.
