Quite an interesting morning on the scatter side, with the best signals I
have heard from the more distant transmitters such as Inselberg and
Hoher Meissner. A few new frequencies were heard too. All the above
would probably have come in via aircraft scatter. Most peaked at noise
free levels, though were all obviously on the weak side. I am making
recordings here and there and will upload a compilation soon.
On the tropo front, well, there is no tropo. Conditions have been as flat as something very flat for the last few days.
It's probably time to start to look at DXing via the Perseids now. This
shower should peak on the 11th, 12th and 13th of August.
Good DX!
